Media Alert: Water Shutdown for Maintenance Purposes

MEDIA ALERT: WATER SHUTDOWN FOR MAINTENANCE PURPOSES

Notice is hereby given that Bloemwater is currently having an emergency water shutdown due to a pipe burst on the pipeline supplying the Northern Villages of Thaba Nchu, Bultfontein 1-5 and Excelsior Town. Technicians are on site repairing the pipeline.

The following areas may be affected due to the shutdown:

• Thaba Nchu villages (Northern Villages only)
• Bultfontein 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5
• Industrial Area Selosesha
• Excelsior

The central part of Thaba Nchu town and the Southern part will not be affected.

Residents, businesses, factories, schools, clinics and all consumers are notified that the water supply to the areas mentioned above may be affected due to the shutdown. Water will restored within a period of 24 hours.

Water Tankers will be provided as and where required.

Mangaung Metro would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused.
