Temporary Closure of Rates Hall for Decontamination
Residents of Mangaung Metro are hereby notified of the temporary closure of the Bram Fisher Building Rates Hall on Tuesday, 22 September 2020 for decontamination processes. Only the Rates Hall will be closed, and all other services rendered in the building will continue unhindered. This comes after confirmation on Monday (21 September 2020) that an official working in this unit tested positive for COVID-19.
As the city, we have in line with the COVID-19 health regulations and our internal toolkit, closed the affected area for decontamination processes. All services rendered at the abovementioned office will be temporarily unavailable on Tuesday 22 September 2020 and operations will resume on Wednesday, 23 September 2020.
Operations at all other regional offices of the city will continue as normal. Members of the community are discouraged from frequenting offices unless it’s necessary. We continuously monitor our environment and strive to ensure the health and safety of our employees and the broader public.
Mangaung Metro apologises for the inconvenience caused.
