MEDIA ALERT: DISASTER MANAGEMENT UNIT ON CALL FOR ANY EMERGENCIES

Mangaung Metro, through its Disaster Management Centre, is aware that there are households and businesses that have been affected by the continuing rain fall and lightening.

The city’s Disaster Management Unit is on standby to deal with any matters that may come to its attention. Members of the community are requested to report any other incidents to the Control Centre on 051 406 6666.

The city is also pleased to announce that both Mockes Dam and Maselspoort Dam are full to capacity due to the rain fall from Sunday until today. This also means all our reservoirs are full to capacity, reducing any chances of water shortages.

Residents are still urged to use water sparingly to decrease the chances of water shortages.
